Venture Ambassador 12′ Shuffleboard Table
Designed with the assistance of professional players. This shuffleboard premiered in the 2000 North American Shuffleboard Championships in Reno Nevada. However it’s not necessary to be a professional player to appreciate this good-looking shuffleboard with it’s clean design. Venture is the world’s most respected manufacturer of commercial grade shuffleboard tables. Venture continues the tradition started by American Shuffleboard in the 1950’s and with over 50 years experience in the design and construction of shuffleboard tables sets the standard for premium quality dependable high performance tables. The playing surface is constructed of the finest kiln dried rock maple. A full 3 thick which has been planed and sanded to provide the truest playing surface available. To insure that your board will stay as true as the day it left the factory climatic adjusters are included with every Ambassador shuffleboard table. The foul lines scoring zones and numbers are silk screened into the surface before it is topped off with eight coats of Venture’s exclusive hard clear synthetic lacquer. The table comes with shelf style legs on the ends and tapered pedestal style legs on the inside. All are made of solid wood with threaded rubber padded levelers that are easily adjusted to level the table. The ends of the cradle commonly referred to as the Horse Collar are made the old fashioned way from a single piece of wood which is steamed and bent into shape for maximum strength and style. The side rails consist of a high pressure laminate over solid poplar. The gutters are tongue and grooved into the side rails for maximum strength. Can I put drainage pipe and stone along the edge of my house and get rid of gutter without repercussions?
Gutter at the rear of my house gets filled with pine needles in summer and ice dams in winter. Have pea stone there already. Would make life a whole lot easier with out gutter
The dripping noise you get will probably annoy you and in the winter you will have issues with icicles.
Should I replace platic guttering with cast iron ones?
I have some rather tatty plastic guttering on my Edwardian house. I am contemplating replacing them with more expensive cast iron period guttering. It’ll look better, but are there downsides – security (easier to climb up?!), more easy cracks etc…
I have cast iron and they rust, and the paint peels, we’re thinking of changing them to plastic.
if you’re worried about people climbing up you can buy special paint that greases them up.
