iRobot at CES: Roomba, Looj, Scooba
http://videos.webpronews.com Lot’s of people have been singing the praises about the Roomba robot vacuum cleaners for a while now. Well, the Roomba creators, iRobot, have come up with lots of new lines and were showing them off at CES this year.
The iRobot family also consists of the iRobot Scooba, iRobot Roomba Pet Series, iRobot Roomba Professional Series, iRobot Dirt Dog, iRobot Verro, and the iRobot Looj. The iRobot Scooba is the floor-washing robot. It washes, scrubs, and squeegees all hardwood, tile, and linoleum floors.
The iRobot Roomba Pet Series is a spin-off from the original Roomba but is designed for families with pets. It sports tangle-resistant brushes and hair- removing cleaning tools. It also has 2 waste bins: a high-capacity sweeper bin and a vacuuming bin. The iRobot Professional Series is targeted to small businesses since it is designed to clean large spaces and heavily trafficked areas.

Are leaf strainers (for gutters) or leaf guards (gutter covers?) useful/effective/good?
1-2 times a year my family calls in gutter cleaning. I was wondering if leaf strainers would be worth getting to not have to call in the gutter cleaners. Tell me if they worked for you or you know of someone who thought they were useful. Any info is useful :}
House info – I have a very weird shaped house and in a very wooded area so I get tons of leaves and sticks coming on the roof.

I had them and they worked pretty good keeping the leaves out, however, they provided shelter for wildlife to build nests. Ihad many bird nests and even gad a squirrel build a nest under them which caused other problems such as the gutters not drainng the water correctly. I ended up removing them.
